Establishing the components of second hand vapor or exhaled is our current project. The written study is being evaluated by an Institutional Review Board and if approved, we hope to obtain human subjects and begin sample collection and vapor analysis before the end of 2009.

We are lucky to have been advised on this project by some very notable specialists in the field. Dr. Murray Laugesen will assist in evaluating the results and writing papers based on the data for publication and presentation to the community. We are extremely appreciative of Dr. Joel Nitzkin for his assistance and involvement as well. We thank Bill Godshall, Director of Smokefree Pennsylvania for his support and advice on this project and help gathering information.

In the future, we hope to complete a study to establish the efficacy of nicotine vaporizers as an alternative to tobacco cigarettes.
